Webinar on April 17: Mindfulness as a powerful resource for supporting recovery and resilience

Susan Peacock, LiveWorkWell

Date & Time: Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 3 pm UK / 5 pm FIN (convert to your timezone)
Duration: 30min
Speaker: Susan Peacock, Chartered Psychologist, LiveWorkWell

This webinar will look at the current thinking on how mindful awareness underpins resilience and how Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessments, that are based on heart rate variability (HRV) measurement, support this process of self-awareness. Mindfulness helps people train their attention to be more focused, learn skills to manage strong emotions more effectively and realize that recovery can be woven into life in very simple, small steps. This understanding is useful when helping commit to making beneficial changes that have been identified through the Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment. The session will be experiential as it will give you a ‘taste’ of meditation so you can experience firsthand why people find this a useful ‘recovery’ technique during busy days.

Susan Peacock is a Chartered Psychologist, Coach and Mindfulness Trainer working with organizations including McKinsey, News UK, The Boston Consultancy Group and Publicis Media, as well as high performance sporting teams where her focus is helping individuals and teams find ways to focus their attention and recharge during busy days so they can build and sustain their resilience and wellbeing.
