Firstbeat is one of three companies to win participation in the Kasvu Open 2017 Grow to USA program. The winners were announced at the finals of Finland’s largest Growth Venture coaching program, the Kasvu Open Carnival on Thursday 26th of October in Firstbeat’s hometown, Jyväskylä, Finland. Out of nearly 40 companies, Firstbeat was selected by the program’s partners as one the three companies to granted free entry to the Grow to USA program. In recognition of being selected, the Firstbeat logo will be displayed on the Nasdaq’s video tower overlooking Times Square in New York during the month of October.

“It’s awesome to see our logo up there,” said Firstbeat Vice President Juho Tuppurainen after the announcement.

The Grow to USA program is a five-day customized business tour comprised of meetings, networking, and sparring. The aim of the program is to help the chosen companies expand their international businesses. Firstbeat foresees the trip to provide new connections resulting in increased sales.

“This is one way to map out the market for our personal wellness products on the east coast, so of course we hope to gain a better understanding of the market and the opportunities available to increase our sales,” says Firstbeat’s CEO Joni Kettunen.

The partners of the Grow to USA program are Nasdaq, Marsh, Boardman 2020, vauni.io, Booming Strategies and Marketing, Crone Horwath, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, BackedByCFO and Digital.NYC.
