The Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment is a professional-grade tool that utilizes heart rate variability (HRV) analysis to provide personalized insights for better well-being and performance. For individuals, it makes stress and recovery visible in a meaningful way to create a concrete connection between daily activities, lifestyle decisions and personal well-being. When used as part of corporate wellness programs it has proven effective in reducing illness related absenteeism.

WTS2016 Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in wearables and smart device technology. Over 200 products competed for these awards in 2015. Winners will be announced at a ceremony held March 15th as part of the show.

A special panel discussion entitled The Future of Smart Textiles is scheduled for March 16th at 11:00 as part of the event’s Smart Textiles and Embedded Sensors track. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Michael Reidbord from the New York Fashion Institute of Technology.

Firstbeat’s Head of Consumer Technologies, Aki Pulkkinen, will join this panel of experts to share insights from Firstbeat’s recent collaboration with Jabil, Clothing+, and Suunto that resulted in the Peak+ line of heartbeat monitoring textiles. He will contribute perspective gained during Firstbeat’s involvement in the development of Bosch Sensortec’s latest generation of sensor hubs which offer a miniature footprint and ultra-low power requirements necessary to make Firstbeat’s smarter analytics accessible in textile applications.

Attendees can expect an account of key drivers in the smart textiles sector, innovations that provide future growth, commercial opportunities, and how organizations can take advantage of the latest technological breakthroughs.

Firstbeat’s heartbeat analytics and physiologically-based insights power many influential wearables on the market today. This includes products from industry leaders like Sony, Samsung, Bosch, Garmin, Suunto and many more. These products and an account of Firstbeat’s analytics and contributions will be on display throughout WTS2016 at booth 20
