The Federation of Finnish Enterprises named Firstbeat as the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for Central Finland. The selection jury cited Firstbeat’s advancement of the City of Jyväskylä and the region of Central Finland. They also recognized Firstbeat’s legacy of scientific research and brave entrepreneurial spirit.
Firstbeat CEO and co-founder Joni Kettunen, Ph.D., accepted the award on behalf of the Firstbeat. During his acceptance, Kettunen offered the key to Firstbeat’s success.
“Our success is based on knowledge and hard work, but this project requires some madness, as well. We are the best at what we do. Firstbeat is thankful for this honor and wishes to congratulate all the other recipient organizations. We will keep up our work at taking Central Finnish knowledge to the world.”
Firstbeat currently employs over 60 people.
