Applications of Firstbeat for Research

In this webinar you will learn how Firstbeat’s physiological analytics can be used for different kinds of research, to provide accurate HRV data and insights into stress, exercise, recovery, and sleep. The session introduces Firstbeat’s research platforms for lifestyle and sports -related studies and the Bodyguard 3 device for collecting accurate, ECG-based RR-interval data.

During the webinar, you will also hear concrete examples of how Firstbeat for Research has been used in the field, when Dr. Hannu Moilanen from the University of Jyväskylä’s Teacher Training School (Finland) presents recently published findings from developing learning environments that support well-being.

Dr. Moilanen’s presentation examines how students’ physiological responses relate to learning and engagement in authentic classroom contexts. Drawing on studies with high-school students, Dr. Moilanen will discuss, for example,

  • the effects of nature sounds on physiological metrics linked to stress and recovery, and
  • how positive engagement in chemistry learning is reflected in students’ physiological responses.

The webinar is particularly relevant for researchers focusing on lifestyle and well-being related factors (stress, recovery, sleep) or intervention type of research.

The webinar is free of charge and lasts 50 minutes.

Register now! If you can’t attend the live session, no worries, a recording will be sent to all who register.
